This Tong Gong going to Germany, to be played in combination with some handpans.
Here a few more videos that I hadn’t posted yet.
I have been working this summer on the Chromatic Kalimba; here some prototypes. Decided on using brass for the brackets and bridges, and using three compartments in the sound box. Range will be 3 octaves G2-G5.
I received the boxes for shipping and storing the linear kalimbas. They are made from sturdy 7mm double-ply corrugated cardboard.
Made this one for a musician in Belgium who requested this particular tuning: A – C – E – G – B – D. With the open thirds there is less of a tonal center. I had only a few days to play on it, but I found this simple but fun rhythm on it.

Here I tried to do something with rhythm, hope you like it.
Oleg from Obertone requested another 5-tone Jews Harp. Here it is getting ready to be send.
Going live with my wordpress site. If you see any glaring omissions, or have anything else to say, feel free to leave me a comment. Looks are similar to the old static site but now I can easily add blog posts and have comments.
